In CWIT’s programs, students engage in professional development, networking, academic support, community development, peer mentoring, family dinners, faculty mentoring, retreats, and industry mentoring, educational outreach, and ally development. Each program has unique opportunities, application processes, and deadlines.
All qualifying students regardless of their race, sex, gender, gender identity, and/or national origin are welcome to apply to our Programs!
CWIT Scholars Program
Incoming first-year students majoring in computing and engineering are eligible to apply to the CWIT Scholars Program.

- Out-of-State Scholarship: Up to $22,000/Year

CWIT Affiliates Program
Current UMBC students who have a passion for technology, computing, and engineering.

Cyber Scholars Program
Current UMBC students, incoming first-year students, and transfer students who have a passion for cyber security and are majoring in computer engineering, computer science, or information systems are eligible to apply to the Cyber Scholars Program. Sponsored by Northrop Grumman Corporation.

T-SITE Scholars Program
New transfer students entering UMBC from a Maryland community college and majoring in computing and engineering, are eligible to apply to the T-SITE Scholars Program. Sponsored by the National Science Foundation.
