In CWIT ’s three programs, CWIT Scholars, Cyber Scholars, and Transfer Students in IT and Engineering (T-SITE), Scholars engage in professional development, networking, academic support, community development, peer mentoring, family dinners, faculty mentoring, retreats, and industry mentoring, educational outreach, and ally development.
All qualifying students regardless of their race, sex, gender, gender identity, and/or national origin are welcome to apply to the Scholars Program!
CWIT SCHOLARS PROGRAM
In-state Scholarship: Up to $15,000/Year
Out-of-State Scholarship: Up to $22,000/Year
Eligible incoming first-year students interested in computing and engineering majors can apply by January 15 to the CWIT Scholars Program.

CYBER SCHOLARS & ASSOCIATES PROGRAM
Scholarship Amount: Up to $15,000/Year
Current UMBC students, first-year and transfer students who have a passion for cyber security are eligible to apply by January 15 and March 1 to the Cyber Scholars Program. Sponsored by Northrop Grumman Corporation.

New transfer students entering UMBC from a Maryland community college interested in computing and engineering majors are eligible to apply by March 1 to the T-SITE Scholars Program. Sponsored by the National Science Foundation.
