Cyber 101

The Cyber 101 Program is accepting applications from high school seniors (some juniors may be selected as well) who are interested in computing and who would like to learn more about the field of cybersecurity. This will be the ninth year of this program for academically talented students of all genders who support the UMBC Center for Women in Technology’s mission to encourage and support women and other underrepresented groups to be leaders in computing and engineering fields.

APPLY HERE BY WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 20, 2023

This is expected to be an overnight program, with attendees spending one night in the university residence halls as guests of our current Scholars and Affiliates. PLEASE NOTE: This means that students will need to bring enough pillows and blankets to be comfortable spending one night sleeping on the floor.

The event will begin around 10am on Saturday, October 7, and run through approximately 2pm on Sunday, October 8 (these times are subject to change slightly). This is a free program for students who are selected to participate and all meals and snacks will be provided.

You must fully complete this online application by the deadline to be considered for the program. Notifications will be sent out by Monday, September 25, 2023.
