When I work with technology, I want to understand how it works and how it can help others. At UMBC, I have learned about the components and logic of computers through my classes. In CWIT, I see how vital the role of women and minorities play in technology because we bring a different way of thinking. Diversity in the technology field will widen the area of people that technology will help. I hope to bring more Black Americans and women into the IT workforce and diversify the technology field as a whole.
