I’ve always known that I wanted to be in a career that helped people and actually made a difference in the world. I knew exactly what I wanted to do after I read an article in the fifth grade about robotics, at that moment I became so interested in biomechanics. My interest in that field has only grown since I’ve been at UMBC. During my time, here I have learned from industry professionals, classmates and professionals. There has also been a lot of hands-on learning; for example, I got to be part of a team whose main goal was to build a robot that would complete multiple tasks. CWIT has also helped me a lot, by providing support and guiding me to be successful. I am so happy to be a part of a community that accepts so many different people and encourages us to push ourselves both academically and socially. Soccer has always been a huge part of my life, so another way that I have gotten involved at UMBC is through the club soccer team. I am glad to say that I have found a place at UMBC and I look forward to what is to come in the future.
