CWIT Cohort C13
The CWIT community at UMBC has been invaluable to my college career and my growth as a person. Since my freshman year, I have been encouraged to step out of my comfort zone, while still being supported and welcomed by my peers. I attended STRiVE, a leadership retreat, taught the CWIT freshman seminar class, and involved myself with several CWIT outreach events, including Bits and Bytes and BEST of CWIT. CWIT pushed me to attend career fairs and apply for internships early on, causing me to earn an internship with Exelon last summer, and an internship with McCormick this coming summer. I would not be half the person I am today without the CWIT community behind me.
