The CWIT community has been extremely supportive throughout my time at UMBC. Not only does the program provide networking opportunities and career advice to students, but it forms a support system that helps you stay motivated throughout the successes and pitfalls of college. Through CWIT I was able to find many mentors and friends that have helped me achieve success. One of my most notable experiences at UMBC was having the opportunity to do undergraduate research in the field of biomedical engineering and immunology. This experience unlocked my passion for medicine and has influenced the classes I have taken and my career aspirations. I love that my major gives me exposure to different STEM fields and provides the opportunity to learn more about subjects such as biomedical engineering that I have a personal interest in. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at UMBC and I am very happy to have been a part of the CWIT community.
