Danielle Sharp

CWIT Scholar, C17
Major: Mechanical Engineering
Expected Graduation: 2022

I am so grateful for my experience with CWIT during my time at UMBC. It has been so empowering to be a part of a community of women in engineering supporting each other. I especially appreciate the friends I’ve made and the mentors I’ve learned from within CWIT. Last summer, I had an internship at Carrier as an engineering material productivity intern. During my internship, I had a very well-rounded experience and got to take part in several different projects. I loved doing hands-on work and learning more about the HVAC and refrigeration industries during my time there. I am happy to announce that after graduation I will be working at Mueller Associates as a mechanical engineer, and I am so thankful to CWIT for the positive impact it has had on me throughout my four years at UMBC.
