T-SITE, T5

I am a member of the T-SITE program, under CWIT, here at UMBC. CWIT has offered me one of the greatest gifts as a student at UMBC,the opportunity to be part of a healthy and supportive community. I am part of a community that is passionate about helping one other, whether academically, professionally, or personally. It has also given me the opportunity to create very strong relationships with other students, some of which I currently take classes and form study groups with. It has helped greatly in my transitioning from a community college to a four-year university where I have never felt like an outsider or as though I did not belong. I have gained many professional development skills that have aided in laying down the path I would like to continue on after leaving UMBC. The CWIT program has taught me of the importance of teamwork and the necessity of diversity. This will be strongly applicable in the work force and I believe this mindset and experiences gained from CWIT will set me apart in whatever path I decide to take.
