Cyber Scholar
Hello, my name is Bethany Von Ludwick and I am proud to be a Cyber Scholar. After only being in the program for a semester, I can honestly say it has changed my life for the better. I have made so many new friends, met inspirational people, and I have gained a new confidence in myself and my abilities in Information Technology. In addition to the Cyber Scholars Program, I have worked a part-time job with the Department of Defense (DoD) for the past 5 years. I hope to continue working for this agency in the fields of information assurance and database development. I am also a member of the Tau Sigma Honor Society and the Transfer Student Alliance on campus. When I am not on campus, I spend a lot of my time volunteering and co-teaching my church’s Youth Group (6th-12th grade) each week. This program has truly helped to increase the representations of women in technical careers and has helped me make the most of my experiences here at UMBC.
