High School Students

CWIT offers a variety of fun and informative programs for high school students interested in pursuing a career in information technology or engineering and learning more about what UMBC has to offer.

 

Seniors

  • Cyber 101

    • High school seniors who want to learn more about cybersecurity may apply to participate in Cyber 101, offered in November each year.
  • CWIT and Cyber Scholars Programs

    • Before January 15th of their senior year, high school students may apply for the CWIT and Cyber Scholars Programs, which are 4-year merit scholarship programs offered at UMBC.

 

Juniors

  • Bits & Bytes Program

    • High school juniors that are interested in learning more about IT and engineering fields may apply to participate in CWIT’s annual Bits & Bytes Program, offered over President’s Day weekend (February) in the Spring.

 

Freshmen and Sophomores

  • BLAST Off

    • High school freshmen and sophomores may apply to participate in BLAST Off, offered in April or May of each year for students to explore computing and engineering majors.
