Hey! My name is Sara and I’m so honored and proud to be a part of the CWIT community at UMBC. Once I learned about CWIT, I knew UMBC was the right school for me. I felt like it was meant to be! My college experience would not have been the same without my CWIT family supporting and encouraging me to be my best self. With the assistance of CWIT, I’ve been able to work on UMBC’s 50th-anniversary social media site, attend the Grace Hopper Conference, an intern at Microsoft, and study abroad in Sweden for a semester. College can be an awkward and challenging time, but it’s also when you meet the most incredible people and make lifelong friendships. CWIT is not only there when you have a problem. They also celebrate your accomplishments. Who wouldn’t want to be a part of something so spectacular?
