Hi! My name is Sydney! Since starting my undergraduate degree, I have been aspired to work with pharmaceutical development. I want to determine the best way to deliver medicines to the human body, specifically chemotherapeutic drugs. My goal is to bring a new perspective to pharmaceutical development through my unique training in chemical engineering, and with my future advanced studies in biochemical engineering at UMBC through the accelerated BS/MS program. Studying at UMBC as a CWIT scholar has been a key to my success as an undergraduate. I am currently a leader in many student organizations including CWIT Student Council, Tau Beta Pi, and the American Institute of Chemical Engineers. I also work as a tutor and a teaching fellow on campus, and currently a Pathways Intern at the FDA. Through these experiences I have gained organizational, communicative, and leadership aptitude. I have had a wonderful experience at UMBC. I am very thankful to be a CWIT Scholar and part of the CWIT family. They especially nurture my love for palm trees!
